The Landenberg Re-Brand

Updated: Nov 25, 2023

In July, General Partners Fenix Capital Group, Fenix Construction Group & seven Limited Partners formed Landenberg Living for the acquisition of the Historic Landenberg Village.

Consisting of three unique parcels and properties, Landenberg Living LP began bringing its vision to fruition long before the purchase. The Historic Hotel, built in 1872, seemed to be the perfect fit for a weekend getaway B&B. On the shore of the White Clay Creek, and steps for 10,000+ acres of State Parks & Preserve, it was easy to see how this could be turned into a regional destination for outdoor lovers. There was one problem: the Hotel was zoned for single-family use only. Through several township meetings & unanimous support of our vision from the Township Board of Supervisors, Zoning Board and Historic Society, a variance was granted in late June for the increased density and use of the Hotel for six short term rental units.

While we currently wait for building permit approval for the renovation of the Hotel, the Landenberg General Store has begun to see a resurgence. An outdoor patio has been created, providing seating for visitors and an intimate venue for live music, and a partnership with Creekside Coffee, an upscale local coffee roaster, have been two exciting additions to the store within the first three months of ownership. Both of these items were on display at our first event, Family Halloween Day, October 28th.

We are excited to open the Hotel in the Spring of '24 and introduce bigger and better events utilizing the patio and rear areas! Keep your eye out for more fun activities like our Christmas Event December 9th and 'brunch in the berg on the patio featuring live music come Spring 2024. We also have a new website, online menu, logo, & merch rollout in the very near future.

In the meantime, stop by the general store today & see the charm that this special place has to offer. We would love feedback from this tight knit community in regards to products, partnerships, and how to make this a destination for all to enjoy.
